Essential Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
- Pulling cables and cable tray installation
- Wire lighting fixtures, plugs, switches, control panels
- Install electrical systems and other related electrical equipment
- Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety
- Completion of documentation and inspection reporting as required
- Willing to act as a mentor to apprentice Electricians
- Working as part of a team while still able to complete work remotely and in accordance with all safety policies and expectations
Qualifications:
- Certified Journeyperson with previous experience in an industrial setting or be a registered apprentice from a recognized provincial authority
- Previous experience in a new construction, maintenance, or live plant setting
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb stairs on a regular basis
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and or a clear driver’s abstract
- Master Certification and certified Signal Technician preferred
Work Conditions
- This position will be based out of Goulais River but travelling up to 80% of the time to locations including Wawa, White River, Thessalon, Bruce Mines, Blind River, Chapleau, Hornepayne, etc. will be required. Accommodations and transportation will be provided during these trips.
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
