The Office of Education at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking a bilingual (French/English) full-time, one year Research Analyst. Reporting to the Research Manager and working closely with the Senior Scientist, the successful candidate will assist in projects related to qualitative research in health professions and education. Duties include but are not limited to: Conducting qualitative interviews, report writing and preparation of manuscripts for research publications, data analysis, literature reviews, generating website content and some aspects of grant writing.
The Research Analyst will work with internal and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a health, social, behavioral or related science and would have completed coursework in the humanities demonstrating skill in writing and analysis of written information. This is a bilingual position and fluency in written and spoken English and French is required. One (1) year of related research or clinical experience is required. The successful candidate will be able to comfortably conduct qualitative interviews with health professionals in English and French, including the ability to use technical language. They will possess strong PC software skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel), Internet search engines, and the ability to learn new programs quickly. Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral/written), and organizational skills are required, along with creative problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will possess the ability for self-directed learning/working and the ability to work independently with supervision as well as collaboration and teamwork. Candidates also require the ability to work effectively in a wide-range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
