We are looking for a Maintenance Buyer/Planner for our client in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following tasks :

– Research parts on the Internet and with our various suppliers;
– Maintain long-term relationships with our suppliers;
– Make price requests in order to establish comparisons;
– Place orders based on work orders and parts lists recommended by our equipment suppliers;
– Enter transactions (purchase orders) into the ERP system;
– Participate in departmental planning meetings;
– Negotiate agreements for recurring contracts and ensure their smooth operation;
– Support the maintenance team in inventory and warehouse management;

Skills required:

– Degree relevant to the position
– Experience in purchasing / warehouse and maintenance management (strong asset);
– Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) (asset);
– Mastery of the Office suite and facility with internet searches;
– ERP experience (asset);
– Excellent communication skills;
– Sense of initiative and proactivity;
– Creativity and interest in continuous improvement.
