Payroll & Benefits Manager

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Based in Burnaby, our client is looking to add an experienced payroll manager to their team! The ideal candidate has 4+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the Controller, the payroll and benefits manager will be responsible for not limited to:

• Process payroll for 300+ salaried, hourly and commissioned employees.
• Process BC, ON and AB payroll, maintain payroll records and ensure payroll compliance with federal and provincial laws.
• Respond to all the employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.
• Assist with year-end audits and handle any payroll discrepancies.
• Prepare and balance month/ year-end reports and reconcile bank statements.
• Manage year-end reporting, including T4s and any other relevant documents.
• Manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental and retirement plans.
• Reconcile payroll, journal entries and intercompany payroll charges.
• Ad hoc duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of payroll experience
• Experience working with ADP is an asset.
• Multi provincial payroll experience is an asset.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary: $75,000 to $90,000
• Discretionary bonus
• 3+ weeks of vacation
• Extended health and dental.
