We are searching for an energetic, enthusiastic teacher with a strong background in teaching Humanities courses. You will prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans with interactive learning activities. You will exhibit sound knowledge in effective teaching strategies by creating a stimulating learning environment using creative techniques to deliver quality content. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to learning is essential. Use of technology and a variety of teaching strategies to reach all learners will be most beneficial, as is working within a video conferencing teaching/learning environment.
This is a full time temporary replacement position to commence as soon as possible. This position covers a leave of absence and will continue until June 30th, 2024 or until the return of the permanent employee. You will be responsible for delivery of the Alberta Education Social Studies curriculum for Grades 7, 8 and 9, along with English 30-1 and 30-2, Grade 8 Health and a Grade 7 Indigenous Way of Knowing class.
