We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.

The RBC Team in Toronto is hiring for the Audit IT Toronto team. This role will require you to be located in the Toronto/GTA region and be able to commute to the office as you will be required to work at least 3 days per week in the office, as indicated by your manager. As a Senior Quality Engineer Automation Analyst, you to provide support for a suite of business mission-critical and regulatory applications, understanding both the front and back-end of the applications and will be doing hands-on testing on various projects. The technology platform spans the breadth of Windows platform, Python / Java environments, and MS SQL and Oracle platforms.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Automate assigned areas/features using the existing Framework and provide the test estimations, build automation scripts using Python

• Responsible for overall quality of testing deliverables/activities.

• Support the implementation of the QE Program and overall QE process and standards through continuous test execution and reporting.

• Leverages the existing automation frameworks, tools and artefacts to ensure the testing process is continuous, comprehensive and fully autonomous.

• Hands-on experience in Python, SQL, ETL and integration test automation.

• Closely work with the Application Development team as one team to integrate quality engineering mindset/concepts within the DevOps framework/pipeline.

• Work with Sr. QE lead/ Manager across multiple applications to identify E2E changes to drive QE strategies during testing.

• Responsible for technical coaching, mentoring, training, and day-to-day interaction with a team of QE practitioners, and developers and driving test case for projects/programs.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a QE/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases).

• Minimum 1-2 years of test development experience working on the latest technologies and frameworks.

• Good knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, Shift left approach, QE Processes and Methodologies, Test Design techniques, SDLC and defect management process for application support and development with hands-on experience on Agile and Iterative project methodologies, q-Test, JIRA and Confluence.

• Experience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (Robot Framework, SoapUI, Selenium, TestNG) and script development using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Bash, etc.)

• Hands-on experience in Python, SQL, Java and automation test integration with Dev Ops framework/ pipeline

Nice-to-have:

• QA-related certification. E.g. ISTQB, Agile testing, Mobile Testing etc.

• Experience in any Model based testing tools or methodologies.

• Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree/diploma or equivalent experience (e.g., python, Java, C, SQL DB querying)
