The Opportunity
Community Use Supervisors provide Rocky View Schools (RVS) supervision during community use and school sponsored extra-curricular activities occurring in RVS facilities. Community Use Supervisors ensure facilities are prepared and open in accordance with the rental agreements.
We are inviting applications for a Community Use Supervisor position for Beiseker Area to provide support during community use activities in the evenings and on weekends, averaging 3-4 hrs/night (on-call). This is an excellent part-time opportunity.
Responsibilities :
Acts as the RVS representative to direct the public to assigned areas for community use activities
Ensures facilities are open 15 minutes prior to scheduled arrival of groups and secured following
the scheduled activity start times
Limits facility access to those with a valid approved reason for being in the building
Enforces the approved Conditions of Use of the facility as outlined, and special requests are met
as indicated
Monitors participants to ensure they remain safely within the approved authorized areas of use
Performs light caretaking and cleaning duties within assigned areas in coordination with the
assigned Building Operator including but not limited to dust mopping of floors, spot mopping and
spills, returning furniture to rooms, removing garbage, and wiping counters and sinks
Ensures group safely departs the facility at scheduled end time
Keeps assigned sidewalks, steps and entrances free from ice and snow
Reports any groups not following the approved Conditions for Use
Demonstrates and models a genuine appreciation for, and understanding of, protocol, discretion,
and professionalism in RVS
Education and Experience:
Previous customer service experience is considered an asset
Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset??
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a friendly atmosphere
Ability to successfully work independently with minimal supervision
Extremely responsible and dependable with demonstrated problem-solving skills
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications
Pre-employment Requirements
The successful candidate(s) must submit a current Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment
