Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the incumbent provides reception and clerical support for the Adult DI department.
Duties include:
- Acting as a receptionist for the area; greeting and directing patients and visitors.
- Scheduling all patient appointments, booking procedures and coordinating with requesting physician offices using the Radiology Information System (RIS) and EPR.
- Multitasking in very busy clinic areas and ensuring patients information is up to date and accurate.
Experience
- Previous related experience required.
- Previous experience using the Radiology Information System (RIS) and EPR experience preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Medical terminology (pass mark 75%) required.

Qualifications and Skills
- Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Access) required.
- Typing 50 wpm.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- Some lifting of heavy file folders.
- High volume area with frequent interruptions.
