Position Description:
We are Canada’s largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we’re still growing! Join Canada’s largest IT Company as a “Senior Project Manage” in our Banking Services Division.
This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge Street) / client office (Scarborough) 2-3 times per week – subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Be responsible for planning, executing, and successfully implementing large projects within the allotted timeline and budget.
• Ensures efficient and timely completion of projects in order to meet and/or exceed expectations.
• Ensure successful stakeholder management of numerous projects involving multiple teams from different groups across the bank.
• Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution within the Program
• Define and maintain project roadmaps, milestones, assigned tasks and ensure project is on (or ahead) of schedule.
• Continue to monitor, report/document on the project’s progress.
• Responsible for creating detailed timelines of goals to be met to achieve implementation.
• Influence business project decisions with direct impact on financials or operating results.
• Have ability to independently run meetings with various Corporate Function partners.
• Develop protocols and processes to improve efficiency and quality of work while leading effective project change and risk management and escalate issues to as appropriate to Program leadership.
• Conduct periodic scope, schedule, and cost review using industry best practices to identify needed adjustments.
• Work with the Banks Program Leadership to prioritize requirements, issues, and deliverables of projects
• Execute other role duties as assigned.
• Understand the client experience to improve the experience and generate value
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems
• Minimum 3+ yrs working As a Scrum Master for Financial Institutions
• Minimum 5+ yrs working in an Agile development environment.
• Minimum 5+ yrs working in progressive Business/IT Sector
• Minimum 3+ yrs working with JIRA
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in cross functional teams
• Good verbal and written communication
• Should work with minimal supervision
• Should have good problem solving and analytics
Required Skillset:
• Possesses analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Facilitate the Scrum process, including facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and enforcing timeboxes. Use appropriate tools to ensure ceremonies are efficient, engaging and productive.
• Possesses the ability to create/contribute to tactical and strategic vision.
• Demonstrates applied knowledge of one or more analysis and problem decomposition techniques
• Using tactful diplomacy and creativity, remove impediments impacting the Scrum team.
• Understands complete Software Development Life Cycle and can apply the applicable portions of the ‘Feasibility,’ ‘Requirements,” and ‘Analysis’ phases.
• Demonstrates writing and documentation skills.
• Ensure Scrum artifacts are visible and transparent.
• Understands and can explain to others the core processes involved in their area of support
• Remains alert to new techniques for insights, analytics, and data visualization, and thinks about new ways of applying them.
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences.
• Strong business-to-technology translation skills are essential for identifying ways to apply solutions to help clients increase business value and performance.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Skilled at conveying complex ideas to both business and technical teams
