As a Clerical Supervisor with VCH you will:
- Supervise three (3) to ten (10) designated staff.
- Oversee the coordination of clerical workflow such as:
- scheduling and coordinating orientation and staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
- supervising work activities and establishing work priorities.
- conducting performance evaluations in conjunction with the Manager and/or Administrative Manager/Coordinator.
- Assist with meeting clerical support service needs by responding to workflow or procedures enquiries.
- Reviewing and revising policies and procedures, setting up protocols for methods of operation, and coordinating the implementation of and training in new work methods and/or systems.
- Maintain departmental levels of clinic supplies and performs accounts payable functions.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Grade 12 plus three years’ recent, related experience including one year in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to keyboard at 45 w.p.m.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to supervise.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
