Position Summary
Interior Health is seeking a casual Computed Tomography/Interventional Radiology Technologist to join Kelowna General Hospital’s (KGH) Cardiac Cath team. Located in beautiful Kelowna BC, KGH is a Tertiary Hospital providing high-level, specialty medical care.

Casual employment means work requirements can vary between 0 and 37.5 hours per week. Work will be available on a short-notice, on-call bases and/or blocks of shifts pre-scheduled to relieve leaves of absences. Shift types will be Days and evenings with the shift times being 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 07:00 to 11:00, 10:00 to 18:00, 09:30 to 17:30.

What Will You Work On?
Reporting to the Professional Practice Leader, and under the direction of a Radiologist, performs exams and special procedures such as computer tomography (CT), and/or interventional radiology, as designated. Assists the Radiologists during procedures, inputs patient specific data into the Radiology Information System (RIS) PACS and provides direction regarding exams and procedures to student technologists and staff trainees.

Qualfications
• Graduate of an accredited medical radiography program plus successful completion of a recognized program such as Computer Tomography to the designated specialty area, and or two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
